I've dealt with plenty of fussy newborns and I have babies of my own. I know how it goes and I know how to get them calmed down for photos. I promise, we will get you some beautiful images of your little sweetie.

The best age to photograph newborns is between 1 and 3 weeks old. They are the sleepiest and easiest to pose at this age. However, I can photograph newborns who are a little older, we just might not be able to do certain poses with them if they're wide awake.

Newborns take much longer than most other photoshoots. This all depends on how fussy or tired the baby is, how many times we need to stop to feed or change their nappy, if there's a single baby or if we are photographing multiples, if we are doing mostly studio or mostly lifestyle, how many siblings, etc. They can take upwards of 4 hours so make sure you don't have anything else scheduled for after the session.

Yes! I would be happy to come to you, or we can do the session in studio. I understand you are exhausted with a newborn and that you're still recovering from giving birth. Wherever you are more comfortable is fine with me.

This is very common. Babies can have all sorts of things going on with their skin when they're that little including acne, scratches from their own nails, yellow-tinged skin from high bilirubin, etc. If your baby is experiencing any of these things, there's no need to reschedule. I am happy to correct any of these in post-processing.

I understand how scary it can be to have someone else handle your newborn. I take every precaution to make sure your baby is safe during our session. I am certified in infant first aid and CPR and I am trained in newborn photography safety. I will always have an assistant with me during a newborn photoshoot so someone is always right there with your baby. You are also welcome to sit right next to your baby the whole time if you're worried. You won't bother me at all.
